A delegation consisting of representatives of the Sakarya International Machinery and Metal Cluster, established through the partnership of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO) and the Sakarya Machinery Manufacturers Association (SAMİB), and supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, participated in Phase 1 of the 139th Canton Fair held in the China.
Organized by SATSO’s Project and Business Development Department, the program enabled the delegation to attend the fair in Guangzhou, where they examined products showcased in the fields of electronics, machinery, and construction materials, while also engaging in B2B meetings and bilateral business cooperation initiatives.
During the fair, the delegation visited numerous company stands, promoting Sakarya’s manufacturing potential and exploring innovative production models that could benefit local industry. Participants also had the opportunity to closely observe emerging production technologies and AI-powered equipment, while exchanging valuable experiences with exhibiting companies.
In addition to the fair, the delegation visited manufacturing facilities and factories across China, gaining first-hand insights into production environments and operational processes.
Having attended the fair throughout its duration from 15–19 April, the delegation concluded its program with a visit to Consul General Adnan Hayal and Commercial Attaché Şerife Yıldırım Demirel in Guangzhou. During the meeting, SATSO and SAMİB presented their activities, while discussions focused on Sakarya’s manufacturing dynamics and opportunities for strengthening commercial cooperation between China and Türkiye.
Following the intensive program, the delegation returned to Sakarya and will utilize the experience gained through business meetings and official contacts to further develop the Sakarya International Machinery and Metal Cluster Project and enhance the export capacity of participating companies.
