A. Akgün Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted Sedzad Milanovic, Minister of Economy of the Central Bosnia Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his delegation at SATSO.

The meeting was also attended by Rıdvan Ulusal, President of the Sakarya Branch of the Asrın İşinsanları Derneği (ASRİAD), along with association representatives.

During the visit, the strong cultural ties between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina were emphasized, while views were exchanged on opportunities for economic, commercial, and industrial cooperation.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Chairman Altuğ stated:

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country to which we feel a strong cultural and emotional connection. We have always regarded it as a close friend. Sakarya is also home to a significant population with roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today, people from more than 70 different nationalities live in our city in friendship and brotherhood. Sakarya continues to shape its future through production and industrial development. We would like to further strengthen our economic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We hope that our cultural ties will also lead to stronger partnerships in investment, production, and trade. The Sakarya Branch of ASRİAD has established an important bridge with Bosnia and Herzegovina. We appreciate the association’s efforts to maintain active communication and cooperation, and we are committed to supporting these efforts and strengthening this bridge even further.”

Minister Milanovic thanked Chairman Altuğ for his warm hospitality and highlighted the strong relationship between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted that representatives from Bosnian cantons frequently visit Türkiye and emphasized that the Central Bosnia Canton possesses significant industrial capacity and manufacturing potential.

He also stated that the canton has been the region demonstrating the greatest development over the past 25 years and praised ASRİAD Sakarya for its active cooperation efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing his wish for continued and growing collaboration.

The visit concluded with the exchange of goodwill messages and the presentation of commemorative gifts.
