SATSO: “Digital Commerce Strengthens Sakarya’s Competitiveness”
Commenting on the figures, A. Akgün Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), emphasized that digital commerce has become much more than a sales channel—it is now one of the most important gateways to global markets.
He noted:
"Sakarya is one of Türkiye’s locomotive cities with its strong manufacturing base, industrial infrastructure, and export performance. These figures clearly demonstrate that our producers have also successfully adapted to digital commerce. Delivering value-added products manufactured in our city to millions of consumers through digital platforms is highly significant for Sakarya’s economy."
Altuğ also highlighted the opportunities e-commerce offers, particularly for SMEs:
"Supporting our members’ digital transformation and strengthening their e-commerce and especially e-export capabilities is among our strategic priorities. Through training programs, information seminars, collaborations, and new projects, we aim to help our companies become stronger players in digital markets. Today, competitiveness depends not only on producing, but also on reaching the right customers through the right channels."
Goal: Make Sakarya a Leader in Cross-Border E-Commerce
Emphasizing that digital commerce is a major opportunity for expanding exports, Altuğ stated that SATSO aims to combine Sakarya’s manufacturing culture with digital trade to achieve an even stronger position in international markets.
The Chamber continues to support SMEs in entering cross-border e-commerce, strengthening their brands, and bringing high value-added products to customers around the world.
